Frequently asked questions

Does it hurt?

This is by far the most common question I am asked about being tattooed! Pain is something that everyone experiences differently, yes tattooing can be painful, but it is something you can usually sit through. Each area of the body is different and each person is different. Being properly prepared for your tattoo is the best way to reduce discomfort. world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Can The area be Numbed?

Yes, you can apply a topical freezing to the area. There are many tattoo safe numbing creams available now that can be applied to the area you wish to get tattooed. Dr. Numb is offered in studio but speak with me ahead of time to pick it up or come in early as it needs to sit on your skin to take effect.

How do I prepare for my tattoo?

To prepare for your appointment, make sure to get a good night of sleep and eat a good meal before your appointment. Make sure you are staying hydrated the days before your appointment and avoid drinking heavily the night before. When you come in for your appointment, wear clean comfortable clothes that allow for tattooing you easily and bring snacks for longer appointments.

Can I get tattooed while pregnant?

Simply answered, no you can not. Yes there have been people who got tattooed unaware that they were pregnant and things were fine but the answer is still and will remain as such; No.

As a mother I do understand how postponing appointments for pregnancy can be frustrating but it is temporary and soon enough you will be under the needle again and sharing stories of your new adventures.

Can you cover scars?

Yes, you can cover up scars with tattoo work. There may be design limitations depending on a few things: not limited to but including size of the scar, how it healed and its location. The best thing to do is to have an in person consult to assess the scar and discuss options.

If you are looking to travel for your work we can do a consult via email and go from there!

What is the investment?

Your tattoo investment will vary depending on a few factors including but not limited to the size of your work and the detail in it.

The most accurate way to get an estimate on your tattoo investment is to set up a consult to discuss what you would like so I can make an accurate estimate on how long your work will take.
